ECNU Wuhu Hospital

ECNU Wuhu Hospital was the first comprehensive hospital founded by the Wuhu City Government of Anhui Province in 1953. After nearly 70 years of growth and development, it has become a Third Grade and Class A Hospital capable of providing services including medical clinic, education and research, disease prevention, healthcare and rehabilitation. The Hospital is a teaching hospital for Southern Anhui Medical College for both undergraduate and Mater’s students. It also has collaborations in educational programs with the Wuhu School of Clinical Medicine, Nantong University, the Oncology Hospital of Fudan University and the Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University.  In 2020, the Hospital officially became an affiliated hospital of ECNU, paving the way to better implement the strategic plan of “Coordinated and High-quality Development of the Yangtze Delta Region”.  

ECNU Wuhu Hospital occupies an area of 6.6 acres, with 1710 beds. Currently, the Hospital has 40 clinical departments, 11 technical departments and 56 nursing units. The Hospital currently has a staff of more than 2,300, with 69 Professors/Associate Professors, 5 Jianghuai Distinguished Doctors, 23 Wuhu Outstanding Health Professionals and 3 Huatou Distinguished Doctors. In 2021 alone, the hospital served over 68,800 inpatients and 1,160, 000 outpatient visits.  Also in 2021, the Hospital was granted with an ECNU Wuhu Postdoctoral Station. To accelerate the growth of outstanding medical talents, the ECNU Wuhu Postdoctoral Station has recruited 5 postdoc mentors and 12 young scholars have enter the station to begin their scientific investigation, medical innovation and technical translation.
