Brief Biography: Dr. Kang Zhu is a Zijiang Young Scholar working at the Health Science Center, East China Normal University (ECNU). He completed his postdoctoral training at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford (2018-2024) after earning his PhD degree from the Institutes of Biomedical Sciences (IBS) of Fudan University. His research findings have been published in Nulceic Acids Research, PNAS, Science Advances, EMBO Reports, and other journals. His primary research interest is in uncovering the molecular mechanisms of protein post-translational modifications (PTMs) and their connection to disease development. His research group focuses on two main areas: (1) the biological roles of the crosstalk between ubiquitination and ADP-ribosylation, and (2) the molecular mechanism and biological function of non-protein ubiquitination.
