East China Normal University (ECNU)is one of the top public universities in China. Located in the beautiful Minhang campus in Shanghai. Health Science Center (ECNU-HSC)is a recently launched academic institution to achieve the ECNU’s mission to inspire and educate top-notch talents and accelerate scientific innovations in medicine and health sciences.
The recently established Epigenetics in Inflammatory and Metabolic Diseases Laboratory at ECNU-HSC, led by Esteban Ballestar (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1400-2440), is seeking for highly motivated researchers to join his team as postdoctoral researchers or associate professor, depending on their qualifications.
Research of the Epigenetics in Inflammatory and Metabolic Diseases Laboratory at ECNU-HSC focuses on understanding the epigenetic mechanisms underlying dysregulation in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, and how these mechanisms are integrated with genetic and biological determinants and relate to clinical manifestations. This knowledge will lead to identify new pathways for drug discovery and biomarkers. We use cutting-edge methods (single cell and bulk multi-omics, modelling, biochemistry and cell biology systems) to infer and manipulate epigenetic processes.
Successful candidates should have a Ph.D. or doctorate in medicine or related fields, with a strong track record of high-quality scientific publications and skills and interests in bioinformatics, immunology, epigenetic and/or molecular biology. Besides, candidates with a proven record of or passion for excellence in medical teaching and curriculum innovation will be strongly encouraged.
Review of applications will start upon receipt.
Interested applicants should submit inquiry with updated curriculum vitae including the contact information of three referees to the E-mail address below for consideration: eballestar@hsc.ecnu.edu.cn
